ABOUT

  • Alex Spiroglou, DipTA(ATAA), CFTe, MSTA,is trading futures on major asset classes (equity indices, fixed income, commodities, FX)on a short term basis (2-5 days) using pattern recognition and on an intermediate term basis (5 – 15 days) using various macro filters (inter-market models, COT indicators, seasonal indicators, sentiment indicators). His methodology is rules-based, semi-systematic.
  • He is also the Founder and Managing Director of Trader Training & Development Ltd, London and the creator of the S.M.A.R.T. Trader Training Systems.
  • Prior to launching Trader T&D, Alex served as an investment manager for an FSA-regulated global macro fund and as a prop trader in one of the largest UK prop trading firms, among other positions.
  • He is also the founding Chairman of the London Chapter of the CMT Association, one of the founding Co-Chairs of the Hellenic Chapter in 2014, and continues to serve on the Advisory Board of the Technical Analysis Educational Foundation.Through his involvement with the CMT Association he was blessed to meet the “best and brightest” in the Technical Analysis community. Ralph Acampora, John Bollinger, Tom DeMark, Linda Raschke, Martin Pring, to name just a few.
  • Alex holds a BSC in Banking and International Finance from Cass Business School in London (1996). He holds the CFTe designation by the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA), the Diploma of Technical Analysis – DipTA (ATAA) of the Australian Technical Analysts Association (ATAA), and the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) of the UK Society of Investment Professionals, as well as the Market Maker/Trader license administered by the Athens Derivatives Exchange and the Investment Consultant license administered by the Hellenic Capital Markets Commission.
  • He has appeared in numerous TV shows, in conferences as a speaker or panel cordinator, as a guest speaker in Universities. His expertise and deep knowledge of technical analysis spanning over 2 decades, is combined with an enthusiastic presentation style which stems from his love of markets, macros and technicals.
  • He is happily married and when not following markets enjoys a lot being “out and about” in the beautiful English countryside, and taking regular holidays to visit his hometown, Thessaloniki, Greece (the most beautiful city in the world.. cause there is no place like home) and relax in the Greek islands (particularly Evia) during the summer months.

THE OFFER
